We woke up and immediately called Disney reservations, because our trip was supposed to end tomorrow and we just weren't ready for that! So we added on another night at Pop Century. I told the reservations Cast Member the whole story of our engagement because I was so excited... I'm not sure she appreciated it. lol.
Then it was off to Animal Kingdom! We went straight to Kilimanjaro Safaris to grab fastpasses and then headed out to the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail.
We saw the meerkats, which we make sure to visit every time we go to AK because they are just so fun to watch!
We also got to see Lilly, the new addition to the AK Gorilla family. :)
You can just barely see her in her mommy's arms here...
there's a little head and a little hand, hugging her mommy back.
By the time we were done with the trail, our fastpass time for the Safari was up! Twende - let's go!
Is this the face of a future Safari guide? I certainly hope so! :)
We did Dinosaur, Maharaja Jungle Trek, and Festival of the Lion King, and then headed back to POR for a midday break. We grabbed turkey sandwiches at the Riverside Mill Foodcourt, and they were absolutely DELICIOUS. They came with homemade chips too - equally delicious. Without a doubt the best resort quick service lunch I've ever had!
After lunch, we headed off to Magic Kingdom, where I conducted my usual castle photo shoot...

We did all our favorites - Thunder Mountain, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, TTA, and It's A Small World.
hmm... this looks familiar... :)
We grabbed eggrolls at the Tomorrowland Noodle Station (our first time eating here! it's never open when we're there!) and got this eerily appropriate fortune inside our fortune cookie...
How does it KNOW??? ;)
We did everything else we could - Pirates of the Caribbean, Winnie the Pooh, Swiss Family Treehouse, Space Mountain - before Wishes at 8:00. And then the park was closed! So early!! We hung around after the fireworks and found a new thing to do - sit upstairs in the train station on Main Street and people-watch as everyone drifts towards the exit.
We had planned to go out to Downtown Disney or something, but we were pooped. So we went back to POR, got dessert at the food court, and were in bed by 10. Lame! haha..
Day 3 & Day 4: What, No Pictures??
Nope. It rained almost all day on both of these days. Day 3 was Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Day 4 was Magic Kingdom. I'm so disappointed! But we did have a great time. We did some new things, like the Playhouse Disney show at DHS (it was actually a great show, and we actually did not feel as out-of-place as we expected to! lol). And we did some old favorites, like the Great Movie Ride, Buzz Lightyear, and Gran Fiesta Tour. The upside of this terrible weather: the huge crowds completely disappeared in the rain! Maelstrom was a walk-on!
Another highlight: I finally tried the tuna sandwich at Columbia Harbor House, which I have been meaning to try for a long time, and I am SO glad I did! It's amazing! One of the best tuna sandwiches I've ever had anywhere. And I am very picky about my tuna sandwiches, so that's saying something. :)

Sorry for the anticlimactic ending. But I hope you enjoyed this little report! It's crazy to think that the next time I set foot in a WDW park, it will be as a Cast Member... :)
I just have to say, I love love love when I get fortunes that fit my life perfectly! That's so awesome! Your trip sounds like it was a blast!
