Yes, yes, I know, I'm going out of order with my blog posts. I still have to do a purple folder post, and an accepting your role post, and I don't know what else after that... a post about how agonizing this wait to start my CP is already, and it's only MARCH??? But I'm going to jump out of order a bit because I went up to Orlando this weekend - a family trip unrelated to the CP and unfortunately, no, we did not go to WDW. :(
BUT, we did take a drive past Vista Way, Chatham Square, and Patterson Court (which are the CP housing complexes)! So I decided to make a little post about my impressions of the complexes as we drove by, in case anyone is curious about what they're like in person - I know I was!
I wanted to make sure we drove past Vista while we were in Orlando, so that I knew where it was and how to get there so I'm prepared when I come for check-in in August. I do NOT want to be driving around lost for hours when everyone else is already in the check-in line! Actually it's pretty easy to get to, but it is kind of hidden. Security is super tight at all the complexes (which is a good thing, in my opinion!) so we didn't even bother turning in the drive, but from what we saw from the road, Vista looks pretty nice. It looks like a lot of other nice college apartment complexes I've seen and lived in, so we should all feel right at home! :)
On a whim, we decided to see how far Chatham and Patterson were from Vista. And they're really not too far! About 5-10 minutes driving. The Commons (which from my understanding is mostly, if not entirely, International CP housing) are between Vista and Chatham & Patterson, and oh my goodness, I don't think I've ever seen a more gorgeous complex! It's very fancy, lots of nice architecture features. It struck me as very European. Lucky ICPers! :)
Then comes Chatham and Patterson nearly right next to each other. Both look very nice! Patterson looks a little fancier than Chatham, again in terms of little aesthetic touches here and there. There were lots of CPers around, some in costume and some not, waiting for the bus at Chatham or walking down the pathway to some of the restaurants nearby, which includes (wait for it)... a Panera!!! Oh my goodness, a Panera within walking distance?? Well, I know where all my CP income will be going... ;)
So all in all, my impression is that there isn't a "bad" complex to live in! They all look very nice and are very well guarded by security. I'm really glad that we drove by, because now I know that wherever I get placed for housing, it's going to be just fine.
I know what you mean! Panera is just so delicious.
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh, yes it is! :D
ReplyDeleteI saw some other yummy restaurants right around the area too. Less than 5 minutes driving time. ... win! :)
