I didn't have to go to a campus presentation, since I've already applied, but I just wanted to anyway for both practical and sentimental reasons.
Practical reasons being that I did have some questions I wanted to ask the recruiter or the CP alums, and I figured it couldn't hurt to get a refresher on the rules and perks of the program. Brian didn't get to go to the presentation last semester so this would be his first and only chance to see it. Also, I got to meet Kristin, who is only the most awesome CP alum/Campus Rep ever. ;)
Sentimental reasons being the fact that I nearly cried when I watched the videos at the campus presentation last semester because I wanted to be a CPer so badly, so I kind of wanted to see what it would be like to be at a presentation on the other side... to be able to take it all in with no stress and to picture myself as a CPer knowing I'd be there soon!
The presentation was great. Very smooth and professional. It started off with the recruiter asking trivia questions for prizes like pens and Mickey-shaped luggage tags. Hardly anyone spoke up to answer the questions though. I wanted to but I felt like that wouldn't be right, since I answered at the presentation I went to last semester (and got a yellow Mickey luggage tag, which is still hanging on my backpack! :D ).
Then we went straight into the presentation videos. Ah, I love them so much. :) There is a group of videos where they talk to managers and execs who started off in the CP, and I couldn't help picturing myself in their shoes one day...
I don't want to make this post too long, since I've noticed I've been putting up novels each day, but I do want to share a funny comment from the presentation. I was talking to some CP alums with Brian afterwards and they asked what roles we got. We told them we both got Attractions and one of the guys said, "Attractions people are the fighter pilots of the College Program." It cracked me up!! I'm picturing myself putting on pilot goggles before I check lap bars... :D
LOL that was Gerald! He reminds me of someone straight out of a Parade Control shift or Guest Realtions!
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh, he was great!! His outfit was amazingly Town-Hall-esque. :)
ReplyDeleteHow about you update this blog? Hmmm?
