Once Upon A Time...

... there was a girl named Jillian. She had been to Disney World many, many times, so much that it felt like her home. She loved everything about Disney and she loved experiencing the magic. She was never happier than when she was skipping down Main Street, exploring World Showcase, standing in the shadow of the Chinese Theater (and the big sorcerer's hat), and finding animals hidden in the Tree of Life. But as she grew older, she started noticing that there were people who helped make the magic happen - Cast Members. And so she wished upon a star, as dreamers do, that one day she would be able to become a Cast Member and help make magic for guests from all over the world...

And I am so excited to say that my wish has finally come true. :)

I applied for the WDW College Program in January for Fall 2010 and was accepted into Attractions - my first choice of roles! I am absolutely ecstatic!!! I've been wanting to do the College Program since I first learned about it in high school, and due to complicated school issues I was afraid I was never going to get the chance... so this is nothing short of a dream come true for me!

I have some serious goals - I want to really make the most of my time on the CP to give myself a solid start as a Cast Member, then get accepted into a Professional Internship afterwards, and then hopefully develop a long-term career with the Disney Company. If all goes well, this blog may be around for quite some time... :)

Speaking of blogs, there are some strict rules put in place by Disney about what can and can't be shared online, and I fully intend to follow those rules. So if you're looking for a blog that is full of drama and gives away insider secrets, this blog won't help you. But if you're looking for a blog that details the daily life of a College Program participant to see what it's like or to see if the CP is right for you...well, then you've come to the right place, by golly. :) 

So sit back, relax, keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle at all times, take small children by the hand, watch out for the moving platform, and join me as I start my Disney dream, doing as dreamers do...
