Slacking on the blog updates lately. Sorry about that. :(
December has been a rough month. I kind of got stuck in the cycle of work-sleep-repeat, without taking any time for myself to do any kind of fun stuff, or (more importantly) do any stress-relieving. I'm realizing how important it is to take care of yourself while you're on the CP... watch movies with friends, go out for dinner, just do things that make you happy. It helps you to keep feeling the magic, which helps you to keep making the magic.
Something else that's been rough is waiting for information about the switch from CP to PI. I'm a planner, so I am dying to know exactly where I need to be on exactly what date. But so far, it's just been emails saying that the info will be coming later. Argh. However, the department for my actual PI has been AMAZING about staying in contact and sending out info! I've gotten a really nice welcome email with some more info about what I'll be doing on the PI and what my first weeks will be like. It sounds like a lot of training, because we have a LOT to learn, but I'm actually really excited about both of those things. I can't wait to start!
But the thing that's been the hardest to deal with so far is saying goodbye to people. My roommate Melissa left for home in the middle of December. My other roommate Jenna moved out of the Disney housing and into the apartment she found for her Management PI starting in the spring. And one of the friends out of my little group of besties just left this last week. We all hung out with her before she left, but there just wasn't enough time. I miss her so much already! I can't believe I made such great friends in only 5 months. I thought at the beginning that I wouldn't really make a whole lot of friends while I was here, since I'm older than most CPers and not into the whole drinking/partying thing. But the friends that I have made are amazing people and I am so glad that I got to know them. I really hope that we can all keep in touch.
A lot of good things have been happening this month too. I got my Mousters degrees from my Disney Exploration Classes (with perfect attendance!). I went to the CP Graduation. I went to the Winter Formal. I got the chance to tour the Castle Suite in Cinderella's Castle (!!! I know!!). But best of all, Brian and I were both able to go home for Christmas, which we never thought would happen. We were prepared for a Christmas on our own, but it was so good to be able to be home with our families instead. I hope you all had a very merry Christmas too, readers! :)
More details from December happenings to come. I'll try to be better about blogging on these last 2 weeks of my program...
... Can you believe it?? Only 2 weeks left!! 5 months went by SO unbelievably fast!!!
